2015 Jeep Renegade

The 2015 Jeep Renegade reviews show that this new model has already captured the attention and esteem of numerous Medicine Hat and Lethbridge drivers. Compare it to crossovers such as the 2015 Nissan Juke, the 2015 Chevrolet Trax, the 2015 Kia Soul, or the 2016 Honda HR-V, and it quickly becomes apparent why the Renegade has become so intensely, immensely popular.

Price

The 2015 Jeep Renegade is one of the most advanced and innovative crossovers on the road today, and you can drive one home for a starting price of just $19,995 when you opt for the Sport trim. That price ensures that you’ll benefit from an extensive list of standard features, including a Uconnect 3.0 multimedia center, remote keyless entry system, and a hill start assist system.

It’s a starting price that the Renegade’s competitors can only dream of matching:

  • HR-V: The Honda HR-V is also new for this year – but it starts $20,690. That’s close to $700 more than the Renegade’s Sport trim.
  • Juke: The 2015 Nissan Juke starts at $20,498 with the SV FWD. That’s more than $500 greater than the Renegade.
  • Trax: The 2015 Chevrolet Trax’s standard LX FWD model starts at $20,880 — close to $900 more than the Renegade.

Headroom

The 2015 Jeep Renegade has revolutionized the crossover segment and banished its traditional limitations. For example, no longer will you need to put up with a substandard level of interior space. Five occupants are seated comfortably within 3,358 L of passenger space, and there’s plenty of room for everyone to spread out. In fact, you’ll enjoy best-in-class front headroom measurements of 1,045 mm.

Slip inside the competition and you’ll quickly notice the difference:

  • Trax: The 2015 Chevrolet Trax provides 1,006 mm of front headroom.
  • Juke: The 2015 Nissan Juke allows for 1,007 mm of headroom in the front.
  • Soul: The 2015 Kia Soul offers 1,006 mm of headroom in the front.

Cargo Space

The 2015 Jeep Renegade doesn’t just stop at outperforming the competition when it comes to headroom — Medicine Hat and Lethbridge drivers will also be able to take advantage of a substantial level of storage space. The Jeep Renegade reviews will show you that measurements are, once again, best-in-class, with cargo capacity reaching up to 1,438 L. There’s also a fold-forward front passenger seat and either a 60/40-split folding rear seat or available 40/20/40-split rear seat with cargo pass-through to let you customize your layout.

Here’s how the rest compares:

  • Soul: The Kia Soul offers up to 1,402 L.
  • Juke: The Nissan Juke provides only 1,017 L.
  • Trax: The Chevrolet Trax peaks at 1,371 L.

4×4 Systems

The 2015 Nissan Juke, the 2015 Chevrolet Trax, and the 2015 Kia Soul only offer one 4×4 system. However, the 2015 Jeep Renegade provides access to two, allowing drivers to fit their vehicle to meet their own off-roading needs. You’ll be able to select either Jeep Active Drive or Jeep Active Drive Low, which allows for a 20:1 crawl ratio.

Both are fitted with a class-exclusive rear-axle disconnect to help keep fuel-consumption to a minimum, as well as a class-leading Selec-Terrain system with modes for Auto, Snow, Sand, and Mud — in addition to Rock with the rough-and-ready Trailhawk model.
